Haruhiko Ishihara (1945) fait ses débuts en 1968 avec Negligence, une histoire qui le met immédiatement
sous les projecteurs. Publié par Hinamaru Bunko a rapidement suivi certaines de ses meilleures œuvres telles que « Red
Kaki » et « Paradise Secret ».
Mélanger les genres et adapter son style ne lui posait aucun problème ; Science-fiction, horreur, détectives et même
histoires psychédéliques…
Ses titres faisaient toujours appel à l’imagination ; Youth Agony Tribe, Château du chat des mers, Secret du paradis,
L’histoire de fantômes la plus drôle du monde, etc.
