« Cool Guy » – COVER – Katsumi Shimomoto

Katsumi Shimomoto a fait ses débuts dans « Rental Manga » en 1958.
En raison de sa courte carrière de mangaka commercial, il est peu connu du grand public.
Cependant, en tant que mangaka, avec son propre style distinctif, il a influencé et s’est lié d’amitié avec de nombreux mangas.
des artistes tels que Takao Saito, Yoshihiro Tatsumi et Shintaro Miyawaki.
En 1968, il publie « Kai Danji Gori Ippei » dans le Weekly Shonen Magazine de Kodansha et passe de
Location Manga à un Magazine hebdomadaire. Il a publié dans Bessatsu Magazine et Shonen King, mais la taille
(et le rythme) de parution de l’hebdomadaire n’était pas adapté à son travail et il suspendit ses activités.
Cependant, il est resté actif dans l’ombre de l’industrie et est toujours présent lors de conférences et de salons.
